Coulter has synesthesia, a rare sensory, neurological condition which has a profound effect on his work. In an interview with The Independent, Coulter's earliest memories of his condition date back to childhood, where he recalled the sound of his own heartbeat resonating pulses of colour.
“Often I leave in little intricacies within my work, which ignite the sound in visual form - the two interlinking tracks are a subtle nod to My Own Private Idaho. I did everything to do this song justice, from Rain telling me it was a lyrical collaboration between herself & River prior in Aleka’s Attic, made the process significantly more potent.” - Jack Coulter
